The Dresden State Operetta is located on site of Kraftwerk Mitte, the western part of the city centre. Since December 2016, the former site of the cogeneration plant is inhabited by Dresden’s new centre for art, culture and creativity, just 15 minutes walking distance away of the well-known baroque city centre.

Arrival with public transportation
Tickets for the Dresden State Operetta are effectively tickets for all means of local transport of the VVO-area, starting at 4 hours before the event until 4 AM of the following day.
Due to its new location in the centre of Dresden, the Staatsoperette is very easy to reach. Several tram and bus lines are in the immediate vicinity. Regional trains to and from Bischofswerda, Bautzen, Görlitz, Zittau, Großenhain, Hoyerswerda, Cottbus, Riesa, Leipzig, Kamenz as well as the S-Bahn lines S1 and S2.

Arrival via Car
There are numerous paid parking facilities in the immediate vicinity. We recommend the Parkplatz Kraftwerk, which is only a few minutes' walk away. You will find the entrance on Löbtauer Straße coming from the south. Here you will find 300 parking spaces as well as an e-charging point.
You pay 0.50 euros per parking hour. You can park in a particularly relaxed manner with the event ticket. You pay for the ticket directly after entering the car park at the ticket machine. For 3 euros it is valid for 8 hours and saves you having to queue at the parking machine after the performance. You can then leave the car park immediately and insert the paid parking ticket at the terminal on your way out.
