Silke Richter studied singing at the Dresden College of Music. Initial bookings saw the mezzo-soprano perform at the Theater Freiberg-Döbeln and the Theater Plauen-Zwickau. She was a company member of the Landesbühnen Sachsen from 2009 to 2015 Her singing and concert repertoire ranges from romantic songs to 20th-century works. In the operatic arena, she has played parts such as Médée in the opera of the same name by Charpentier, Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Frau Reich (The Merry Wives of Windsor), Ulrica (Un ballo in maschera), Azucena (Il trovatore), Maddalena (Rigoletto), Carmen and Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier) (The Knight of the Rose). She has also played Widow Pusebach (Frau Luna), Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Baroness von Waldstätten in the hit musical Mozart! by Levay / Kunze and Celia Peachum (The Threepenny Opera). She has been a company member at the State Operetta since 2016/17.
